Intralox, L.L.C. is hiring an Electrical Controls Engineer based in The Netherlands with a background in E-Commerce/Logistics and Material Handling (LMH) to design and manage the fabrication, implementation, testing and start-up of Intralox Material Handling conveyor equipment, deploying the rapidly proliferating range of solutions based on patented ARB technology.

What will you do?
  • Be part of a growing team specialized in turnkey material handling solutions with a high focus in the warehouse and e-commerce postal & parcel industry. 
  • Be part of a team that works closely with customers to determine their needs and then designs, engineers, manufactures, assembles, installs, tests, commissions, trains, and supports conveyance and sortation solutions.
  • This position may require sporadic travel with some project work taking place on holidays and weekends to meet customer scheduling requirements.
  • Program and configure PLCs for control systems such as Allen Bradley, Siemens TIA, Beckhoff Twincat, MatLab that include field devices such as photo eyes, shaft encoders, barcode scanners, pneumatics, scales, motors, fieldbuses, and communication protocol
  • Configure HMI’s, computers, networks, cameras, and variable frequency drives which are used to control sorters, conveyors, and other related equipment. 
  • Develop electrical documentation packages, descriptions of operations, interfaces between systems, and clear technical documentation for internal and external customers
  • Willing to be present on-site and/or in-house during set-up and startup to coordinate and help resolve issues. 
  • Design in CAD electrical control panel layouts, bills of materials, and schematics. 
Who are you?
  • A qualification in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 2 years’ related experience
  • Familiar with AutoCAD Electrical and AutoDesk Inventor, Solidworks PDM or PTC Windchill PLM environments. 
  • Good project management skills and team-work mindset
  • Create clear bill of material using the most common commercial components when possible
  • Deep understanding of safety requirements and European regulations (i.e. CE) and willing to stay up-to-date on global machine design standards. 
  • Proficient in English language – other languages would be a plus.
  • Willing to travel also outside of Europe if required
