Intralox L.L.C., the world leader in conveyor equipment solutions utilizing modular plastic conveyor belts, has a position available for a Category Manager, Technical Manpower & Marketing. As a member of the procurement team, the qualified individual will be responsible for closely collaborating with the Intralox Integration & Marketing teams to drive continuous improvement throughout our technical manpower and marketing categories. The candidate will be required to bring current knowledge of leading providers, best practices, and emerging trends in the respective technical manpower and marketing areas and support strategic efforts to secure the best possible commercial model for aligning packaging performance, risk, timing, and cost.

Responsibilities:

Category Manager, Technical Manpower & Marketing:

  • Develop strategic relationships with industry experts to build out category-specific SWOT analysis.
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of category objective strategy for assigned categories.
  • Support the development of category strategies and implement packaging initiatives that will improve product quality, cost, efficiencies, and processes
  • Execute sourcing activities for end-to-end categories spend including development of bid cadence, bid execution, contracting, supplier management and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop countermeasures and risk mitigation plans based on high-probability market scenarios
  • Analyze cost to serve, identify gaps and engage with internal stakeholders (operations, engineering, quality) to capture business requirements and ensure qualification and efficient onboarding/transition of suppliers
  • Manage strategic relationships with suppliers to achieve efficient, reliable, and cost-effective solutions
  • Build and maintains proactive communication with leadership to support mutually beneficial business relationships improving near and long-term network capabilities
  • Track performance of operations and execution of suppliers; timely resolves performance problems that could impact flow of shipments; proactively develops contingency plans and manages crisis situations
  • Subject matter expert in rates, materials, and forecasting
  • Manage the analysis of category cost and performance to benchmark service standards and applicable trends to ensure contracted service level agreements and budgeted operating costs are being met; decisively develops plans for any gaps in performance
  • Perform quarterly business reviews for all strategic suppliers within assigned categories

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ Years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Contract Management or Sourcing.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude with analytical skills. Ability to perform data analysis using MS Excel and/or SQL
  • Ability to travel up to 20%

Desired Qualifications:

 
  • Master’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain
  • 5+ years category-related sourcing experience, consulting, buyer, business, and/or analyst experience
  • Demonstrate success with implementing transformations, change management, problem solving and process thinking
  • Experience leading complex problem-solving
  • Demonstrate experience managing a cross functional team
  • Oracle experience in a global environment
