Intralox Manufacturing has a position available for an experienced CAD/CAM Programmer in its Harahan, LA facility. This individual will be responsible for programming all stainless-steel sheet metal parts to be processed on CNC Laser Cutting Machines and CNC Hydraulic Press Brakes[SM1] .

  • Create new, modify, update existing, or optimize CNC programs using Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software such as TruTops Boost, SigmaNEST, BySoft 7, Radan, or other similar software for Trumpf Laser cutting machines and press brakes.
  • Interface with Engineering and Customers to integrate customer requirements with Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
  • Interface with Production groups to reduce material scrap, labor requirements, tooling change optimization, and programming issues/errors/improvements to aid in these efforts.
  • Stay current with and integrate the use of the latest in laser machining and press brake technologies and optimization.
  • Process all sheet metal parts from Engineering and external Customers with an emphasis on material, design, labor optimization, and reusable programming.
  • Provide strict adherence to Release to Production protocols including revision requirements.
  • Develop understanding of laser operation to provide backup support to Laser Operator role.


  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience programming using TruTops Boost, SigmaNest, Radan, or similar software.
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes such as Laser Cutting and CNC Press Brake Bending Operations.
  • Individual must be self-managed and excels working in a team environment.
  • Strong math, technical, and analytical skills regarding sheet metal fabrication.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and general computer usage.
  • Must be able to work overtime on an as needed basis to meet customer demands. This position is performed at the facility.
  • Assist other departments on an as needed basis.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Trade School, Engineering, or Technical Degree.
  • Hands-on experience with operating CNC Lasers and/or Punch Presses and CNC Hydraulic Press Brakes.
  • Experience working within a Manufacturing environment with high-volume high-accuracy parts.
  • Familiar with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience working with SolidWorks or Inventor CAD software.
