Intralox L.L.C., the world leader in conveyor equipment solutions utilizing modular plastic conveyor belts, has a position available for a Buyer (ATO). The position is based in our Hanover, MD facility and reports to the Supply Chain Manager.

  • Supports the management of purchasing transactions for equipment production and non-production items.
  • Prepares and conditions equipment bill of materials provided by new product development team and uploads them with the ERP system.
  • Creates discrete jobs within the ERP systems and defines bill, routing, scheduling assembly start and completion date.
  • Resolves and prevents any invoice discrepancies.
  • Manages the entire purchasing life cycle ($40,000-$100,000 weekly).
  • Executes Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) as well as Missing-in-Action (MIAs), Non-confirming (NC) and Damaged parts Purchase Orders.
  • Evaluates Assembled-to-Order (ATO) scheduling to identify any parts flow gaps in advance of assembly start date.  Collaborates with Supply Chain, Assembly and Scheduling to execute necessary steps to fulfill demand.
  • Identifies cost savings opportunities, drives cost initiatives, and negotiates prices.
  • Supports Integration Buyer as needed to address demand spikes.
  • Assesses key vendor capacity weekly and provides forecast of upcoming orders.


  • A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or related field.
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience with an ERP system.
  • Must be a self-managed, hard-working, self-motivated individual, critical thinker.
  • Works extremely well in large data sets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office specifically Excel (Pivot table, VLOOKUP).
