Intralox has an opening for a Business Development Manager in its rapidly growing Logistics & Material Handling business unit, which sells industry-leading material handling equipment to the world’s largest e-commerce and parcel companies.


The team needs an experienced Business Development professional to help steer the business unit’s trajectory during a period of unprecedented industry growth. E-commerce continues to change the way that consumers and businesses purchase and ship products, and the world’s logistics networks need to adapt accordingly. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute commercial growth strategy for the Logistics & Material Handling business unit.
  • Work with Sales and Operations to set revenue goals and commercial priorities for strategic planning purposes.
  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups (e.g., Sales, R&D, Manufacturing) to drive strategic decisions and help execute growth through:
    • New investment business cases: Write cases for new product development, M&A, strategic partnerships, and other major investments.
    • Forecasting: Maintain and constantly improve business unit forecast by defining information and process. Publish detailed forecast for Operations.
    • Diversification strategy: Gather, prioritize, and activate initiatives to diversify revenue with new customers, products, applications, and geographies.
  • Prioritize and conduct research to support Product Management, R&D and Marketing. This includes identifying emerging market trends and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
  • Work with both customers and internal stakeholders to establish a clear value proposition and brand preference.
  • Work with direct report(s) to develop and achieve professional and personal growth goals. Note: There is currently one Business Development Analyst that will report to the Business Development Manager.
  • Create resource plans on annual and quarterly basis for Business Development team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years of professional experience, preferably in business development, market research, or management consulting.
  • Experience in conducting marketing analysis and analyzing market data.
  • Proven track record of identifying, prioritizing, developing, and executing strategic initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing direct and/or indirect reports (e.g., project-based teams).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to lead a team with proven presentation skills.
