In this position you will be a key member of the global business development team for the Food Business Unit. You will report to the Global Meat, Poultry & Seafood (MPS) Business Development Manager. Your work and ideas will form the basis on which our team strategy is developed, particularly in the EMEA region. In the Business Development Lead role, you have the opportunity to directly impact business development and results, with a high degree of responsibility and autonomy being an integral part of the MPS leadership group.

The ideal candidate will work out of the Amsterdam office, is flexible to regularly travel, has a creative entrepreneurial mind-set, a high degree of curiosity paired with strong self-initiative, is team-oriented and possesses integrity and professionalism.

Your Profile?

  • Fluent in English & one other European language.
  • University education with a business/ food sector degree.Training in economics/financial analysis is a plus.
  • Proven work experience in Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Product Management
  • Energetic and well organized with exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to evaluate and effectively pursue strategic sales opportunities
  • Strong team player, self-managed and proactive with a demonstrated sense of ownership
  • Credible; able to develop strong relationships within a team and with customers
  • Able to work with products which are used and customers who make their living in the meat, poultry and seafood processing world
