Intralox needs an experienced business development professional in its Logistics and Material Handling business unit to help steer the business unit’s growth trajectory in the APAC region. The business unit sells industry-leading material handling equipment to the world’s largest e-commerce, parcel and postal companies. E-commerce continues to change the way that consumers and businesses purchase and ship products, and the world’s logistics networks need to adapt accordingly. The Business Development Analyst will execute the responsibilities outlined below to pursue multiple growth sources. This role will report to APAC Industry Team Leader Logistics and Material Handling.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements
Responsibilities
  • Provide intel and recommendations for proactive and strategic business planning for the region. Identify markets and value pockets with high growth potential, prioritize opportunities, and frame validation actions to effectively pursue these opportunities. Form recommendations on products, offerings, and pricing to improve Intralox value for selective segments. Build business cases that support investment decisions with internal stakeholders to gain alignment and support.
  • Validation, guide, and aid team’s current focus market development and account development. Understand industry trends, customer need, and competition landscape to craft with selling team a clear, compelling value proposition for each critical opportunity/ strategic account. Identify leverageable value proposition and build customer success stories to amplify Intralox value to market.
  • Lead marketing campaigns and customer/partner engagement to broadcast Intralox value, gather market intelligence, and generate leads. Work with Marketing to develop marketing content to effectively communicate clear messages to the market/customer base. Manage initial qualifications of leads (customers and/or opportunities).
  • Support team business plan through business reporting and analysis, meeting/workshop facilitation, and other cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree. A degree in Economics/MBA/Engineering is preferred.
  • 5+ years of professional experience, with a focus on new business development. Preference for experience in industrial automation.
  • Proven track record of identifying, prioritizing, developing, and executing strategic initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Experience in conducting market analysis and analyzing market data.
  • Objective, critical, and independent thinking capabilities, with an entrepreneurial, problem-solving mindset. Able to lead cross-team initiatives, and proactive with a demonstrated sense of ownership.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills across culture. Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese. Other Asian languages are valuable.
  • This position is based in the Shanghai office. Flexibility for travel for up to 30%.
