The Intralox, L.L.C. Hanover, MD Development team is looking for an Assembly Technician. The candidate will be mainly responsible for assembly and testing of custom and developmental conveyance equipment at our Hanover, MD office. The technician will utilize our production schedule to build equipment and assist engineers in testing and validation. In addition, this role will track incoming parts, develop processes for parts inspection, and ensure high quality product. This is a production environment where each project has a deadline.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety procedures and policies
  • Ensure a high quality product is delivered to our customers
  • Ensure that any quality issues are well documented and reported to the proper team lead for resolution
  • Follow Intralox protocol and procedures for assembling our equipment at a world class level 
  • Setup and execution of testing, directed by the test engineer
  • Prepared to offer solutions to the issues that WILL occur
  • Perform housekeeping duties as required
  • Work overtime and on weekends as required
  • Follow the attendance policy of the Assembly department
  • Exhibit team work and self-management

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Stable work history
  • Good hand/eye coordination and detail oriented
  • Basic math and communication skills
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of this position as detailed in the functional job description, including the requirement to lift and carry 40 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Experience working with custom projects
  • Proficient with hand tools, powered and non
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive, Proactive attitude, with attention to detail
  • Excellent computer skills with some exposure to 3D CAD (Inventor preferred)

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts
  • Experience with industrial conveyors
