Responsibilities:
  • Support R&D engineers in developing new solutions, managing field testing, and assisting in release and roll-out.
  • Share field information/experience to benefit product life or market acceptance.
  • Make plant visits, leverage customer contacts, and present conditioning technologies to key technical contacts at customer accounts.
  • Recommend solutions and implement guidelines per application.
  • Manage technical matters with regional OEMs, including training, design, manufacturing, startup, and troubleshooting.
  • Understand competitive technologies and evaluate needs.
  • Support Intralox's sales and product specialists in selling and implementing Intralox solutions.
  • Employ PLCs, HMIs, motors, and variable frequency drives used in spiral equipment.
  • Assist the implementation team in technical audits and health checks for optimization projects, particularly with new technology/complex projects.
  • Interface with the implementation team to ensure successful services and installation: review/approve drawings when necessary; review applications and determine product suitability; promote the highest quality and workmanship standards; and establish and maintain global implementation standards and best practices per technology.
  • Work with the sales team to support installations, troubleshooting, and class issues.
  • As the expert product specialist, work with the Technical Support Group to review and approve incoming inquiries.
  • Be available after regular business hours to support colleagues and clients for platform matters.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or another engineering/technology discipline from an accredited school.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working on industrial applications with manufacturers and end users throughout all aspects of a project.
  • Self-managed individual who excels in a global team environment.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills with great attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to read CAD and SolidWorks drawings.
  • Computer proficiency in software essential to job performance, including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines; project management skills are a plus.
  • Ability to work with personnel at all levels of an organization.
  • Flexibility to travel (often on weekends and holidays).
  • Travel required up to 50% of the time, including weekends and holidays when necessary.
  • Proficiency in French and English. Additional languages are advantageous.
