Job Description:

·         Ensure the quality management system supporting the product and process development for successful launch to market

·         Ensure all internal launch and customer advanced quality planning deliverables are completed on-time to the required quality level.

·         Facilitate the advance product quality planning (APQP) process from program award through process sign off (PSO), start regular production (SOP), plus safe launch activities. Serve as quality approver for PSO and exit from safe launch.

·         Serves as subject matter expert and trains site personnel on APQP requirements process sign off and safe launch activities.

·         Facilitate/participate in R&D/Engineering Design reviews of specifications and drawings related to the product/system and develop the CTQ, CTF characteristics and drive DFMEA process.

·         Attend all program team meetings and provide required quality documents per program timing.

·         Lead Quality and participate in the manufacturing development of process flow, PFMEA, Control plans, mistake proofing, SPC/SQC techniques, etc.

·         Assist plant quality and product engineering teams in utilizing root cause analysis tools to diagnose/correct/prevent failures during development and launch process.

·         Integrate lessons learned and ensure inspection plans, compliance to all applicable quality customer specific product/systems requirements.

·         Assist/support SQE and SDE group as needed including, supplier selection, kick-off meetings, qualification, audit process

·         Work closely with customer service and field teams analyzing reliability data to understand product/system operation cycle, estimate MTBF, MTTF, to support warranty claims, etc.

·         Develop a standard graphical reporting system to identify risks and opportunities as project and program progresses through the life cycle and report to Quality leadership.

·         Support the development and mentoring of employees within the quality organization to become empowered, engaged, and effective quality leaders.

·         Support other strategic quality initiatives to achieve business objective and quality organizational goals as assigned.

Qualifications:

·         Degree in engineering, quality, industrial management with 15 years in complex manufacturing environment.

·         A minimum of 7 years of advance quality experience with at least 5 years of advance quality leadership experience.

·         Extensive experience in New Product Development Quality, Advance Quality Planning including strong proficiency in quality expectations, quality standards/best practices which includes APQP, Control Plans, FMEA, MSA, GD&T, SPC/SQC standards.

·         Lead auditor certification, Lean Six Sigma black belt certification and Project management professional certification is highly desirable.

·         Strong organizational, planning and the ability to successfully coordinate and complete multiple tasks/projects within and across department to meet and establish changing deadlines

·         Proficient in Microsoft office programs.  Minitab, Dashboard, Visual Factory, ERP, PLM tools and data bases interactions.
