Intralox, L.L.C. has an opening for an Account Manager on its RDS (Reseller, Distribution and Select Accounts) Team. As a member of this team, the qualified individual will be responsible for calling on Resale and End User accounts within a defined regional and assisting in the development and implementation of strategies for covering those specific accounts. This individual will primarily service the Upper Midwest and work out of a home based office within the region - IA, IL, IN, MI, MO, WI. The ideal candidate is a motivated professional who is a self-managed, commercially minded, team player with excellent ROI selling skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prospects and develops new customer relationships
  • Manage commercial relationships with existing customers - develops credibility through integrity, knowledge, communication and the ability to create customer value.
  • Regularly visit customer plants to understand production realities - evaluate opportunities for Intralox products, services and effectively provide solutions using value added strategies.
  • Identifies new sales opportunities. Articulates and documents company resources needed to bring sales to closure
  • Presents Intralox management and peers with facts about customers and an accurate picture of the market so that effective strategies can be developed and implemented.
  • Embraces the concept of team-based selling. Look for opportunities to use team and company resources to achieve specified initiatives and sales outcomes.
  • Participates in team and company meetings as required.
  • Displays “thinking like an owner” mindset in performing the above responsibilities.
  • After training in New Orleans, this person will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of strategies at specific accounts with emphasis on institutional conversions for similar applications.

 Requirements

  • B.S. or B.A. from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 4 years proven industrial sales experience with solid organizational skills.  A degree in engineering is preferred.
  • Strong emphasis on prospecting and business development.
  • The ability to travel extensively is essential. Willingness to travel up to 70%.
  • Possess a positive, confident outlook along with an entrepreneurial, problem-solving personality.
  • A passion for learning and growth, willingness and ability to be self-managed and the acceptance of personal responsibility for results are also vital.
  • An interest and aptitude in technical industrial processes is critical.
  • Industrial or warehouse / packaging sales background.
  • Proven record calling on decision makers at plant and corporate locations.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • Must be able to work effectively and collaboratively within a team environment.

Desired Qualifications

  • Interest and aptitude in technical industrial processes and conveyor design and operation.
  • Experience selling into industrial applications is a plus.
  • Experience selling conveyor systems.
