Are you a driven sales professional interested in technical industrial processes? Laitram Machinery, LLC is currently seeking an Account Manager responsible for India. As a member of this team, the qualified individual will be responsible for developing and managing commercial relationships with existing customers, developing new business and driving sales results to strengthen the market position. This individual will primarily service India. The candidate will preferably be in South India. The ability to travel extensively the time in the country is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales results and strengthen account position.
  • Develop and manage commercial relationships with existing customers.
  • Regularly visit customer plants and corporate sites to understand customers’ production realities, identify opportunities where Laitram Machinery can bring value, and introduce products, services, and solutions to customers. 
  • Proactively schedule regular customer visits, conference calls, and webcasts to fully understand customer problems and opportunities.
  • Embrace the concept of team-based selling in performing the job. Look for opportunities to use team and company resources to further develop the ultimate goal of selling. 
  • Embrace the Laitram business philosophy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering combined with business education is preferred.
  • Fluent with spoken and written English.
  • 3-5 years of experience in selling capital equipment. Food processing (equipment) industry experience preferred.
  • The ability to travel extensively.
  • A positive, confident outlook.
  • Strong team-player, self-motivated, self-managed, entrepreneurial, problem-solving personality.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and technical skills.
  • Good organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • An interest and aptitude in technical industrial processes.
  • High sense of urgency, results driven. A passion for learning.
  • Strong computer skills - Excel and Word
