Job Description (General Summary)
Intralox has an opening for a Solidworks Drafter to assist engineers, project managers, and field service technicians, as needed, with the design, development, and installation of industrial equipment for our customers.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: 
  • Creating Solidworks drawings and solid models for new projects
  • Incorporating drawing changes for product improvement and produce “As Built” drawings
  • Maintaining project Bill of Materials
  • Communicate with fabricators and vendors about technical aspects of the equipment
  • Managing the group’s PDM system 
  • Report generation, etc. 


Responsibilities: 
  • Assist engineers with 2D drawings and 3D solid modeling for new equipment, product design changes and plant layouts 
  • Create/maintain bills of materials for the manufacturing of equipment 
  • Maintain engineering documents using Product Data Management systems 
  • Assist engineers with large and/or emergency projects as needed 
  • Follow field work as needed for context (e.g. research problems, monitor tests, installations and startups)

Requirements: 
  • Associate degree or technical/vocational training in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field, or 2+ years of experience using SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Self-managed, detail oriented, team-player with good written and oral communication skills 
    • Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point) 
    • Fluent in written/spoken English
  • SolidWorks or ProEngineer (or equivalent) 3D software experience 
  • Experience with operating within a PDM system 
  • Experience with sheet metal fabrication 
    • CAD experience
    • Mechanically competent

Desired Qualifications: 
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment 
  • SolidWorks Certifications: 
    • Certified SolidWorks Professional – Advanced Sheet Metal (CSWPA-SM) 
    • Certified SolidWorks Professional Advanced Drawing Tools (CSWPA-DT).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Project and Oracle products
  • College or vocational/technical degree
