This role is for a Senior Oracle EBS DBA within the Oracle E-Business Suite Operations and Cloud Support team, responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting Oracle EBS and database environments. The position covering technologies including EBS 12.2 and Oracle Database (19c/23ai/26ai), OCI, Autonomous DB/ADW, GoldenGate, Data Guard, RMAN, RAC/ASM, WebLogic, OEM, APEX, and security/performance tuning, with strong hands-on experience in OCI (virtual, bare metal, Exadata) required. Exposure to multi-cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) is a plus.
This role requires a highly hands-on technical expert with strong ownership and problem-solving capabilities.
The role involves partnering with project managers, developers, and support teams to resolve complex technical issues, deliver enhancements, and ensure high system reliability. The candidate will act as a subject matter expert, working independently to troubleshoot problems, implement solutions, and drive continuous improvements across EBS and database platforms. This is a remote role within India with opportunities to deepen expertise in Oracle EBS, Exadata, and cloud technologies.
- Lead and execute CPU patching, EBS/DB upgrades, high availability solutions, and new feature/product evaluations (PoCs and implementations)
- Analyze system workloads and implement improvements aligned with best practices to optimize performance and efficiency
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, and support teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions
- Contribute to continuous improvement of systems, processes, and documentation quality
- Drive team effectiveness through knowledge sharing, mentoring, and development of tools/utilities
- Conduct training sessions and knowledge transfer activities
- Participate in platform and product testing initiatives
- Provide expert-level guidance on Oracle EBS and database lifecycle management, configuration, and administration
- Participate in on-call rotations, weekend support, and shift-based work as needed
- Ensure adherence to SLA-based production support (incident response and resolution)
- Perform core EBS DBA activities including migrations, patching, cloning, backups, and recovery
- Troubleshoot and tune Oracle EBS and non-ERP databases
- Manage and maintain monitoring using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- 10+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle EBS DBA, supporting large-scale environments with Exadata, RAC, Data Guard, High Availability, and Backup/Recovery
- Preferred certifications include OCI Foundations, OCI Architect (Multi-Cloud), OCI AI/GenAI, and Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
- Deep expertise in Oracle EBS R12.2 architecture and database administration
- Strong knowledge of OCI, Exadata (on-prem & cloud), and multi-cloud architectures
- Extensive experience managing large-scale Oracle databases, including RAC, ASM, and storage
- Proficiency in backup and recovery (RMAN), Data Guard, and high availability configurations
- Strong skills in performance tuning, query optimization, partitioning, and database security
- Experience with GoldenGate replication
- Solid understanding of Linux administration (kernel parameters, storage, networking, resource management)
- Provisioning and managing OCI compute and database systems (VM & Bare Metal)
- Understanding of VCN, subnets, route tables, security lists, and IAM policies
- Experience with OCI services including Load Balancers, Block Volumes, Object Storage
- Hands-on with Data Guard and RMAN backups in OCI environments
- Exposure to Autonomous Database (ADB) and Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW)
- Performance tuning within OCI-based database environments
- Self-driven and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
