Job Responsibilities and Requirements
Responsibilities:
• Develop and apply product and process knowledge to define specifications, identify failure modes, perform root cause analysis, and drive risk mitigation and performance improvement.
• Use SPC and other statistical methods to analyze data, assess process capability, and ensure customer and internal quality requirements are met.
• Compile and analyze technical and process data to establish specifications, baselines, and control systems.
• Lead data-driven problem solving and Six Sigma–type improvement projects to reduce defects and waste while improving yield, quality, and throughput.
• Interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications to verify product and process requirements.
• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections; measure product dimensions, evaluate functionality, and verify conformance to specifications.
• Document inspection results, evaluate quality trends, and recommend production process improvements.
• Manage nonconforming material, lead MRB activities, and ensure timely issue resolution, including SQDC board actions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Supplier Quality, Production Control, and Supply Chain to resolve quality and production issues.
• Maintain internal quality systems related to incoming inspection, calibration, and material control and disposition.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork and self-management; support business needs, including flexible schedules and overtime as required.
Requirements:
• BS Degree in Engineering or equivalent
• At least 3 year of hands-on experience with mechanical systems.
• Proficient in MS Office
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and under the pressure of deadlines.
• Must possess strong attention to detail and sense of urgency to respond to issues.
• Knowledge of Quality Core Tools (FMEA, PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC)
• Ability to lift 45 pounds or greater.
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Daily on-site support in manufacturing facility.
Desired Qualifications:
• BS Degree Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
• A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a Quality related position in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in an equipment engineer-to-order (custom) manufacturing environment
• Possess an ASQ or equivalent certification
• Experience in a mass production inspection environment.
• Experience implementing SPC and/or six-sigma concepts.
• Knowledge of best practices for the Quality Assurance function in a Manufacturing environment.
• Experience with quality tools such as CMM or other measuring systems.
• Proven track record in problem solving and/or leading Projects
• Experience with Oracle and Smartsheet
• Ability to travel up to 20%

The position is eligible for one of the following: commissions, discretionary incentives, or production incentives according to the terms of those plans
Salary Range $62,700 to $156,400.
