Intralox, L.L.C. is hiring a Mechanical Engineer for the Systems Design and Development Team in Wehl. This individual will support the development of conveyance solutions using our Activated Roller Belt (ARB) technology to support one of the strategic segments within the Logistic & Material Handling platforms. As a Product Development Engineer in this role, you will focus on developing new product initiatives or enhancements to existing platforms, guided by strategic roadmaps.

This role is only open to candidates who are fully authorised to work in the Netherlands.


Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Responsibilities:
  • Translate customer requirements into engineering specifications and support product ideation by validating concepts through analytics and/or physical testing.
  • Collaborate effectively within a global, cross-functional team—including project managers, controls engineers, assembly technicians, and test engineers—to drive project success.
  • Design and develop new products, components, assemblies, and systems, while maintaining existing ones using engineering best practices and thorough documentation.
  • Enhance order execution efficiency by contributing to design automation initiatives, such as Design Configurator models, overcomplete CAD models, and comprehensive user guides.
  • Provide timely and accurate engineering support for assigned products to enable the success of adjacent teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement by documenting and refining engineering processes and best practices.
  • Develop deep expertise in Intralox’s Activated Roller Belt Technology to support innovation and product excellence.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in industrial machine design.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in creating detailed part, weldment, assembly, and installation drawings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Skilled in 3D CAD and Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 10%).
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Hands-on approach with solid mechanical aptitude.
  • This position is based at our Intralox office in Wehl, the Netherlands.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor, particularly in sheet metal design.
  • Familiarity with PTC Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
  • Prior experience in designing conveyor equipment is a strong advantage.
  • Understanding of stage-gate development processes, such as Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
  • Working knowledge of SCRUM methodology
