Job Description (General Summary)


The Operations Manager will oversee assembly operations, warehousing, quality, maintenance, outbound logistics and EMEA trade compliance. Responsible for managing and developing a team of 125+ people. Direct reports include supervisors, QA team and individual contributors.

This role combines operational excellent EMEA order fulfillment, delivery of Zero-Defect Execution, systems roadmap integrations, and strong people leadership in a complex, multicultural environment.

Over the next 12 months, the role will play a critical part in successful implementing system initiatives related to traceability, item revision and HCM; requiring significant operational change management and detailed cut-over planning across all functional areas, especially warehousing, and internal material flows - while ensuring safety, quality, and production continuity.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements
Key Responsibilities
  • Management responsibility for all functional areas in assembly operations. Lead, manage, grow and develop team members, while continually developing a team of High-Performance teams. Build and strengthen the leadership team with Operations.
  • Order Fulfillment; secure lead capacity to support ambitious EMEA revenue and growth targets by 2030. Build capacity with minimal head count growth.
  • Quality; deliver Zero-Defect Execution. Embed quality into every process and system in belting assembly. Ensure reliability, traceability, and compliance at scale.
  • Productivity: Accelerate Automation and Productivity Gains. Leverage automation and AI as design principles. Multiply productivity while integrating systems roadmap deliverables.
  • Metrics: introduce new costing and productivity metrics. Measure cost of quality.
  • New Product Integration: introduce new products seamlessly into assembly operations. Establish assembly readiness with clear functional ownership.
  • Develop team members for the future. Develop and implement talent strategy. Upskill workforce for future systems.
  • System Integration Optimization & Implementation. Ensure successful Change Management for key systems like WMS, MES and TMS/parcel software.
  • Develop and maintain business plans with vital few initiatives, aligned with global manufacturing CSFs. Track, validate and ensure completion.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS standards and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Qualifications/Skills/Experience
  • Proven experience in manufacturing operations and supply chain management within internationally operating companies
  • A track record in developing and growing leaders.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to manage cross-functional multi-cultural teams. Building effective relationships, team building, decision-making, communication, and people management.
  • Continuous improvement skillset with thorough understanding of LEAN concepts, with problem solving and issue resolution skills.
  • Experience with WMS, MES and TMS systems implementation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management or Supply Chain.
  • Lean Six Sigma, APICS, or Change Management certification is an advantage
