  • Drive execution across assigned technical workstreams, including workload balancing, resource coordination, and follow-through.
  • Maintain visibility to team capacity, competing priorities, risks, and technical constraints.
  • Support project delivery by aligning engineering execution, technical resources, and cross-functional dependencies with project strategy and priorities established by Project Managers.
  • Translate department priorities into actionable plans and measurable progress.
  • Ensure accurate, on-time, robust, and complete solutions through strong execution discipline and technical standards.
  • Maintain clear transition handoffs and equipment sustainability across engineering, build, testing, startup, reproduction, and production support.
  • Develop functional leads and subject matter experts to strengthen technical depth, distributed ownership, mentoring, and coordination.
  • Partner across MFG and NPD to improve capability, safety, quality, efficiency, and reliability.

Team Leadership and Continuous Improvement:
  • Coach and develop technical team members within the Laitram Business Philosophy and Continuous Improvement program (LCI).
  • Set team goals, KPIs, and individual expectations aligned with department priorities.
  • Lead hiring, performance reviews, development planning, bench-strength building, and compensation decisions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in execution efficiency, solution quality, coordination, lessons learned, and overall team effectiveness.
  • Influence improvements in MEG technical standards, methods, and execution practices.

Strategy, Planning, and Communication:
  • Partner with the MEG Manager in department-level planning by providing technical, operational, and execution insight to improve MEG, MFG, and Intralox.
  • Help translate business priorities into team direction, execution plans, and measurable results.
  • Influence broader direction through an understanding of stakeholder needs, technical realities, infrastructure constraints, and execution risks.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with leadership and stakeholders regarding progress, priorities, risks, and resource needs.

Requirements:

  • Continuous Improvement mindset with strong technical and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, production-connected environment, understanding stakeholder processes, opportunities, and critical success factors.
  • Ability to travel 10–20% for Factory Acceptance Testing, equipment installations, partner or technology visits, and engagement with stakeholders and team members across campuses.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with supervisory functions such as hiring, performance management, employee reviews, people and process development planning, and compensation decisions.
  • Experience with industrial equipment and automation solutions, including equipment startup, production support, reliability improvement, or cross-functional manufacturing initiatives.
  • Experience coordinating the multiple workstreams in a MFG and project-based environment.
