Job Description (General Summary)

Intralox Australia Pty. Ltd. has a position available for a Logistics Coordinator who will provide support for internal and external customers, vendors, suppliers, agents, and governmental agencies to ensure the logistics and compliance of shipments. This position is based in the Melbourne Assembly Plant will report to the Plant Manager Australia, New Zealand & India.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements
Your responsibility:
  • Organize carriers’ pickup activities for domestic and export shipments to meet Customer ship date.
  • Work with international freight forwarders, carriers, and brokers to ensure that all shipments reach their destination on-time and resolving any issues that may arise, including delays resulting from audits and inquiries.
  • Ensure the correct Incoterms are used.
  • Work with other departments to ensure order ship dates are met and orders are prioritized.
  • Coordinate and monitor all import /export documentation to certify legal compliance and provide import and export administration within governmental rules and regulations.
  • Prepare all required documentation related to exporting from Australia including but not limited to:
    • Pack slips, AANZFTA form, Certificate of origin, Certificate of Quality and Quantity, Asbestos declaration, Verified Gross Mass, AQIS form and Shippers Letter of Instruction (SLI)
  • Manages day-to-day planning for shipping department in support of the Assembly Plant’s production plan
  • Provide guidance to Shipping Team for adhering to size/weight restrictions and HT stamping requirements.
  • Communicate with our Customer Service department on the status of shipments that are in-transit and provide track and trace of international and domestic shipments.
  • Monitor and resolve shipment issues
  • Monitor/Investigate Customer complaints to improve process.
  • Revise Free Trade Agreements regulations to highlight business opportunities.
  • As a shipping team member, the logistics coordinator will be required from time to time to pack and transact orders
Continuous Improvement Culture
  • Analyse and determine the most effective logistics provider to be used for shipments and confirm that all import/export cargo moves as scheduled
  • Continuously seek and implement productivity improvements and measures success through the use of KPI’s
  • Maintain knowledge of all rules and regulations that Intralox must be in compliance with related to the shipment of goods to other countries.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Three years’ work experience in a logistics, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to do multiple tasks and solve problems in a timely manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective computer skills.
  • ERP experience a plus.
Desired:
  • Bachelor's Degree in International Business, Transportation, Supply Chain Management or some another business discipline.
  • Valid forklift license.
  • Five to seven years’ experience in Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management.
