Job Description (General Summary)
We are seeking an experienced, people centered commercial leader to lead our Bakery & Snack EMEA business. This role is as much about developing and inspiring a high performing team as it is about delivering growth. You will create an environment where people are supported, challenged, and empowered to succeed, while partnering closely with global leadership to shape and execute strategy. Through strong relationships—both internally and with customers—you will drive sustainable growth and build long term capability across the EMEA region.
You will ideally work out of our EMEA HQ in Hoofddorp.
What will you do?
- Lead and manage the EMEA Bakery & Snack Sales Team, driving performance and capability
- Support and execute the global vision and commercial strategy ensuring strong global alignment
- Develop, communicate and embed the Bakery & Snack team vision, metrics, objectives and key results
- Lead commercial business planning for the EMEA region, translating strategy into clear plans, goals and expectations, and holding individuals accountable
- Ensure strategic account plans are created and executed for key customers (end users and OEM/Integrator partners) with strong relationships built at key decision-making level
- Travel regularly with Account Managers to visit customers, gain insights, understand trends and business needs and define compelling value propositions
- Identify sales opportunities in the market and deploy company resources effectively to bring opportunities to closure
- Continually develop a highly productive and intertwined (fully aligned team selling) team with talent, capacity, processes and systems
- Coach, mentor and develop team members, conducting timely and effective personal planning and appraisal discussions
- Very close cooperation with Bakery & Snack Business Development Analyst (BDA) & Customer Service Industry Manager (CSIM)
- Reporting back to the Global Bakery and Snack team as well as to the Global Food BU and EMEA management team regularly on progress, results, strategy, tactics and execution.
- Quarterly planning and MBO (Management By Objectives) definition / manage sales execution / team selling across departments.
- Clarify complex issues, simplify challenges, and get to the essence of problems or opportunities.
