About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Indirect Tax Accountant to join our EMEA Finance team in Hoofddorp.

In this role, you will manage indirect tax compliance, ensure adherence to VAT regulations, and provide support across multiple jurisdictions. You will collaborate with various internal teams and external partners to ensure accurate reporting and compliance in a dynamic international environment.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, Intrastat, and other indirect tax filings accurately and on time
  • Ensure compliance with local and international indirect tax regulations
  • Reconcile VAT accounts and investigate discrepancies
  • Support audits and respond to tax authority queries
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess potential business impact
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on indirect tax matters
  • Contribute to process improvements and automation of tax reporting
  • Collaborate with teams such as Customer Service, Procurement, Logistics, and external advisors

About You
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field
  • Approximately 2–5 years of experience in indirect tax or VAT
  • Understanding of European VAT regulations (experience across multiple jurisdictions is an advantage)
  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • Interest in using technology to improve processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High level of accuracy and ability to meet deadlines
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
  • Fluency in Dutch and English (additional languages are welcomed)
