Principle Duties:

• Supervise repair and maintenance operations of all building systems and grounds, including, but not limited to, central utility plant, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life safety systems utilizing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Member of emergency response team and respond onsite to natural or other emergencies.
• Maintain a safe working environment, track safety training and adherence to safety policy.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal code, license, and certification requirements.
• Perform rounds to monitor equipment, building, housekeeping, and landscaping status. Initiate appropriate corrective action.
• Ensure work orders are completed within the required guidelines.
• Supervise and support construction and facility renovations performed by outside contractors.
• Assist in preparing Request for Proposal (RFP) for contracts and coordinate scheduling and logistics of work.
• Assist with preparing maintenance budgets and plans.
• Create schedules and deadlines for assigned jobs and projects. Oversee progress, track milestones, and ensure timely and successful completion.
• Obtain quotations, review proposals, order materials, and review invoices.
• Develop personnel utilizing LCI (Laitram Continuous Improvement). Identify knowledge gaps, provide appropriate training, monitor progress, perform employee reviews, etc.
• Provide timely and accurate communication with Facilities management and appropriate Production management.

Position Requirements:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Business Management, or 8 years relevant experience.

·         6+ years’ experience in maintenance supervision of skilled trades, technicians, plant engineers.

·         Previous experience in commercial, manufacturing, or institutional environment.

·         Experience with a CMMS or EAM system, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·         Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize accordingly, work under the pressure of deadlines, and successfully navigate a fast-paced environment.

·         Team player who is committed to continuous improvement.

·         Reliable, dependable, self-motivated, and self-managed.

·         Requires climbing a ladder, lifting objects at least 45 LB etc.

·         Required to be on call 24/7 to provide telephone assistance as well as emergency response to the facility.

Position Preferences:

·         Experience with central plant operations and maintenance.

·         Experience with CMMS systems such as Oracle, Nuvolo or ServiceNow.
