Job Description (General Summary)

The Equipment Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing assembly operations in DPE Plant China to meet quality, service level, cost and safety objectives. The supervisor drives team performance through hands-on leadership, optimal resource planning, and application of Operational Excellence (OpEx) principles. This position will report to China Operations Manager. 


Job Responsibilities and Requirements
Key Responsibilities:

Productivity & Operational Excellence
  • Oversee day-to-day production activities across the equipment assembly lines and testing area.
  • Spend significant time on the floor, providing visible, hands-on leadership and support.
  • Identify and resolve issues timely.
  • Foster strong collaboration across departments with seamless factory production processes.
  • Drive operational improvements that increase customer value and / or reduce company costs.
  • Define and monitor Critical Success Factors (CSFs) and KIPs for assembly and testing areas.
People & Team Leadership
  • Develop a high-performance team in a fast-growing environment, with shared/aligned goals and consistent performance management practices.
  • Foster productive relations with other managers in the APAC region that include Accounting, HR, IT and Customer Service to increase overall productivity.
  • Connect and cooperate well with other assembly plants and the Intralox operations departments, such as engineering, materials management and supply chain.
Safety & Compliance
  • Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with safety policies.
  • Implement best practices.
Qualifications & Skills

The ideal candidate is someone with:
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering. Proven affinity with an industrial, manufacturing and engineering business environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory/management experience.
  • An ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Strong team building, fast decision-making, and people management skills.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven track record of excellent teamwork and continuous improvement, understanding of LEAN concepts
  • Demonstrated problem solving and issue resolution skills, strong organizing and planning abilities.
  • Aptitude in MS Office applications and ERP/PLM. Oracle experience is an advantage.
  • Native Mandarin Chinese and fluent English (speaking, reading & writing)
