We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Engineering Technician to support new product testing, evaluation, and workshop operations. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy mechanical work, problem-solving, and contributing directly to product development and performance validation.

Responsibilities

• Execute testing for new and existing products and accurately document results.
• Build and test modular belts and related components.
• Conduct product performance and application-based tests.
• Prepare samples and perform material property testing.
• Maintain workshop and test areas, ensuring adherence to safety and housekeeping standards.
• Provide training on proper operation of test equipment as required.

Requirements

• Education & Experience:
• Degree in Engineering Technology or a minimum of 4 years of related work experience in manufacturing or mechanical/electromechanical trade (e.g., automotive, aircraft, industrial machinery mechanic, installation or field service technician, controls technician).
• If no degree, a minimum of 4 years relevant experience is required; preference will be given to candidates from the trades listed above.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong, methodical troubleshooting approach and solid analytical skills.
• Mechanical aptitude required; advanced mechanical skills strongly preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail; ability to follow precise procedures, maintain accurate records, and ensure repeatability in testing
• Proficiency using hand tools and power tools.
• Computer proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
• Physical & Work Requirements:
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors when needed.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (up to ~5%) for customer visits, training, or installations.
