Job Description (General Summary)
Intralox, L.L.C., a division of Laitram, L.L.C., and a global provider of conveyance solutions and services, has a position available for an Applications Engineer with a strong background in mechanical technologies to provide technical service and support to the commercial sales teams for installation of our modular plastic belting technology and ThermoDrive technology in conveyance. Ideally, this candidate would be located in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements
Responsibilities: 
  • Partner with sales teams to drive aligned priorities
  • Propose application solutions that improve customer operations
  • Lead installation, startup, troubleshooting, and training activities
  • Provide hands-on technical service to food processing customers, especially within the Meat, Poultry & Seafood segment
  • Create clear field reports and practical recommendations
  • Travel primarily across US & Canada, with occasional international travel
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics, Food Science, or related discipline 
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer support (on-site or remote) or industrial sales support as a technical resource. 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to conceptualize and articulate mechanical concepts 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to travel approximately 60%, including weekends and holidays; mostly predictable and scheduled 
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
