We’re now looking for an Application Engineer for Logistics & Material Handling Industry, in this role, you get to have direct contact with customers all over APAC and recommend the most optimal technical solution for their needs. This role is based in Shanghai and report to Application Engineering Manager in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to customers and commercial teams directly, which includes analyzing customer operations, developing, and presenting specific line layouts and machine configurations.
• Visit customers all over APAC region to discuss their material handling projects, understand their requirements and translate them into value added Intralox solutions.
• Work well together with a global team of application engineers and your sales in APAC.
• Interpret customer specifications and make recommendations based on value and performance.
• Develop equipment layout concepts, determine the appropriate scope and estimate costs.
• Evaluate and communicate risks internally to make the best commercial decisions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechatronic, Electrical & Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience with commercial affinity, and a good understanding of the Logistics & Material Handling industry.
• Good understanding of material handling systems and specifically knowledge of Parcel, Postal, E-commerce and Warehousing industries.
• Good English and Japanese language skills in speaking, reading & writing.
• Exceptional communication and questioning skills to understand needs and requirements.
• Ambitious, confident, proactive and with good learning abilities.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office programs.
• Able to travel in APAC region, 40%.
