Drive Growth with a Global Leader in Food Processing Solutions

We are seeking a results-oriented Account Manager to grow our Food Processing business in Japan in the meat, poultry and seafood processing segment. This is a high-impact role where you will work closely with leading Japanese food manufacturers, OEMs, and system integrators to identify opportunities and deliver value-driven solutions. You will engage with stakeholders at multiple levels—from plant engineers and production managers to senior leadership—understand their operational challenges, and position Intralox solutions to enhance performance.

This role suits someone who enjoys combining technical problem-solving, relationship building, and sales ownership in a highly autonomous environment. You will take full ownership of your accounts, territory strategy, and customer outcomes.

The role is based in Japan (home office), with regular travel to customer sites.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers in the food processing sector across Japan
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities into sustainable revenue growth
  • Visit customer manufacturing sites to understand operational challenges and propose tailored solutions
  • Build trust-based relationships with stakeholders across engineering, operations, procurement, and leadership teams
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with regional and global priorities
  • Collaborate with internal global teams (engineering, application specialists, and support teams) to deliver high-quality customer solutions
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through responsive and consultative engagement

What You Bring
  • 8–12+ years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in a technical, industrial, or manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to manage complex, solution-based sales cycles
  • Experience in food processing, packaging, or industrial manufacturing is preferred
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving mindset
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build long-term relationships in a Japanese business environment
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a field-based role
  • Willingness to travel domestically across Japan (typically 70-80%)
  • Fluent Japanese (business level or native) and business-level English
